XML Localisation interchange file format

ISO starts the process to create XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF)

In November 2017 ISO published the ISO 21720:2017 standard which defines version 2.0 of the XML Localisation Interchange File Format  (XLIFF). XLIFF is an interchange file format for translation and localisation content. The purpose of this vocabulary is to store localizable data and carry it from one step of the localization process to the other, while allowing interoperability between and among tools. XLIFF 2.0 was originally developed and published as an OASIS standard. TC37/SC5 is the technical subcommittee responsible for the ISO version of XLIFF.
